How to Transfer an Outlook OST Data File from One Location to Another

If user want to copy Outlook OST data file from one syetm to another another system like other file.it can not open ,access, and import OST file directly in Outlook . User want access data of OST then User convert OST file into PST format.
OST file add to Outlook and if outlook in Offline mode then you access OST data .if you want to OST file move to new system. How to find location of OST file

If you configure With Exchange server ,IMAP ,or Office 365 account you can find location OST by Outlook Account setting then get OST file path.

  1. Open MS Outlook and select File Option
  2. In Info section ,select Account Setting option .then select Account Settings
  3. In account setting window .select account associate with OST file . then click Data file tab and select open File Location
  4. This open folder where your OST file are store

Copy OST file to USB derive from default location and transfer to other computer
If Outlook application not functioning properly ,you can access OST file by Control Panel.
After transfer OST file to another system you was not open it manually in Outlook .Outlook support only PST file .if you access mailbox data ,First you convert OST file to PST file.
If you want to use the same account with available content of mailbox then export it as PST file and then transfer this PST file into Outlook application.

Export mailbox data to PST file

  • Open file in Outlook
  • In Open & Exportation ,select Import/Export
  • Select Export to file option ,then click Next button
  • Select Outlook .pst file and Click Next
  • Select folder which you want to transfer account .Then click Next
  • Choose exclude duplicate items. then select destination for export PST by browse button .Press Finish button for completes process

After export PST file ,you can import it using same process

Import PST file to Outlook

  • Go to File Menu Microsoft Outlook
  • Click on Open & Export then select Import/Export Option
  • Select Import from other application .then click next button
  • Use browse button to add PST file and click OK button
  • Press Finish button to Complete import process

User need to convert OST file data to PST file when user want use same account to other Computer .First create account in Outlook on other computer then automatically create mailbaosx folder .then you import PST file from old System
